Director and Chartered Institute Practitioner
I’m married to Gill and we have three grown up children, David, Amy and Faith. I’m a Tottenham Hotspur season ticket holder and enjoy attending matches with family. I enjoy golf and play locally, with the occasional trip to Spain, where a friend has a villa. My son David lives and works in Australia, teaching swimming. Gill and I regularly visit and enjoy the sunshine and cricket. I played football in my younger days for Nettlebed. I also managed to complete the London Marathon a few years ago.
I am a Chartered Insurance Practitioner, having qualified in 1980.
I spent 20 years with General Accident, with spells in Reading and Bristol. I was working as the Commercial Underwriting manager in GA Reading, where I met David, with whom I purchased an established small broking business back in 1993.
We specifically set up to look after commercial businesses, which is where our experience is. The business has grown and we now have a great team of eight very experienced staff. We look after all sorts of commercial businesses, large and small, including our own agricultural scheme underwritten by Aviva. We like to visit our clients and still provide a traditional local service.
